La Sabana Santa autentica a pesar del carbono 14

Al contrario, según las investigaciones, el tejido realmente entró en contacto con la sangre de un hombre muerto que había sufrido múltiples heridas graves. Según Fanti, «la amplia presencia de partículas de creatinina unidas a partículas de ferrihidrita no es una situación típica de suero sanguíneo de un organismo humano sano».«De hecho – añade– un altoivel de creatinina y ferritina se relaciona con pacientes que padecen un politraumatismo severo, como la tortura. De ahí que la presencia de estas nanopartículas biológicas halladas durante nuestros experimentos señale a una muerte violenta para el hombre envuelto en el sudario de Turín».El artículo que detalla los hallazgos y las medidas en el descubrimiento se publicó en la revista científica estadounidense PlosOne, con el título New Biological Evidence from Atomic Resolution Studies on the Turin Shroud [Nueva evidencia biológica a partir de estudios de resolución atómica sobre el sudario de Turín].Este estudio confirma lo que otros estudios habían ya descubierto hace décadas: dos estudios, llevados a cabo paralelamente en 1978 por Baima Bollone en Italia y Heller y Adler en EE.UU. demostraron la presencia de bilirrubina en las huellas de la Síndone.
