Amsterdam has a long and eventful history. The origins of the city lie in the 12th century, when fishermen living along the banks of the River Amstel built a bridge across the waterway near the IJ, which at the time was a large saltwater inlet. Wooden locks under the bridge served as a dam protecting the village from the rising IJ waters, which often flooded the early settlement. The mouth of the river Amstel, where the Damrak is now, formed a natural harbor, which became important for trading-exchange from the larger koggeships into the smaller ships that sailed the merchandise
deeper into the hinterland.

At Broadway Bares 2019, a brief delay on the tarmac in the heat of the day caused the airport’s rugged, all-male ground crew to sweat through their shift - and their clothes. Adam Perry (Frozen) led a team of buff baggage handlers, choreographed by Andrew Turteltaub.
Broadway Bares will celebrate 30 years of baring it all with Broadway Bares: XXX, featuring provocative new production numbers inspired by the show's sexy and sensual three-decade run. The live, in-person extravaganza returns for two performances on Sunday, June 26, 2022. Fourteen choreographers pull the g-strings of inspiration from Bares' titles and storylines of years past, bringing new takes to audience favorites. Walking from De Dam towards Amsterdam Central and back. During the video it becomes darker and darker, making the Christmas lights cozier and cozier. At the end of the video I film the big Christmas tree at De Dam.
In this video, I walk on Dam Square twice, walk inside Amsterdam Central Station, look at Christmas Light, show the train tracks inside the station, look out over the river called 'IJ' with ferries going back and forth, look at the Amsterdam Tower, and watch Christmas lights when it became dark at Dam Square. Andoni Iturrioz, cantante parisino con profundos orígenes vascos
El cantautor vascofrancés Andoni Iturrioz acaba de publicar en Francia su álbum ‘J’ai vecu les étoiles’-he vivido las estrellas- grabación en estudio realizada como un concierto en vivo con canciones de álbumes anteriores.
La directora mexicana Alondra de la Parra presenta su nuevo Festival Paa...
Un festival que tiende puentes entre continentes y artistas. En el verano de 2022, la directora de orquesta mexicana Alondra de la Parra comisarió la primera edición del recién fundado Festival Paax GNP. Durante cinco días famosos artistas de todo el mundo acudieron a la Riviera Maya, en el país natal de Alondra de la Parra, México, y se unieron a músicos, bailarines de ballet, cantantes e intérpretes.
Entre los artistas se encontraban estrellas como el violista serbio Nemanja Radulović, el violinista venezolano Alexis Cárdenas, el violinista ruso-alemán Aleksey Igudesman, el bailarín portugués Marcelino Sambé, el cuatrista venezolano Leo Rondón, el trompista chileno-francés Matías Piñeira y el contrabajista venezolano Edicson Ruiz, con quien de la Parra compartió escenario en numerosos conciertos. Los solistas contaron con el apoyo de La Orquesta Imposible, que Alondra de la Parra fundó durante la pandemia.
Uno de los platos fuertes del festival fue el estreno mundial de "The Silence of Sound". Junto con la clown mexicana Gabriela Muñoz, Alondra de la Parra creó un proyecto multidisciplinar en el que se combinan la música clásica, la performance y el videoarte.
