Después de casi dos meses desde que iniciara su carrera militar, la Princesa de Asturias jura la bandera junto a sus compañeros de la Academia General Militar de Zaragoza. El acto está presidido por los reyes Felipe VI y Letizia y cuenta con la asistencia de alrededor de 2,500 personas, entre familiares y autoridades, entre los que se encuentra la ministra de Defensa en funciones, Margarita Robles. Con este acto los futuros oficiales ratifican públicamente el compromiso de cumplir con sus obligaciones militares en lo referente a la defensa de España y de su ordenamiento constitucional.

Esperanza Spalding : Homenaje a Wayne Shorter - ARTE Concert

#ESPERANZASPALDING #wayneshorter Liderado por la multiinstrumentista @EsperanzaSpaldingTV, el festival polaco Bielska Zadymka Jazzowa presenta un sentido homenaje al legado sinfónico de Wayne Shorter. Un concierto en el que participan el cuarteto de Esperanza Spalding, el director Clark Rundell y la Orquesta Filarmónica de Silesia. Wayne Shorter, el emblemático jazzista fallecido en marzo de 2023, escribió muchas obras para orquesta (sobre todo en su época de director musical de Miles Davis), aunque gran parte de estas obras nunca se llegaron a interpretar y se mantenían inéditas hasta ahora. El director Clark Rundell tuvo la oportunidad de encontrar algunas de estas partituras desconocidas y ahora, junto a Esperanza Spalding y en el marco del Festival Bielska Zadymka Jazzowa, las hace llegar al público en una oportunidad única. Además se escuchó otra obra inédita: un arreglo original de Highlights from Ifigenia, ópera que Wayne Shorter compuso junto a Esperanza Spalding meses antes de su muerte, que se presentó aquí como premiere mundial. Para este concierto, Esperanza Spalding combina las notas de la Orquesta Filarmónica de Silesia con las de un cuarteto exclusivamente femenino compuesto por ella misma, Terry Line Carrington (baterista estadounidense), Kris Davis (pianista canadiense) y Tineke Postma (saxofonista holandesa). Para realzar todo, los músicos están acompañados de cuatro bailarines: Antonio Brown, Kaylin Horgan, Christiana Hunte y Tashae Udo. Klar ist aber, dass der Musiker aus New York Anfang der 1970er-Jahre auf die Idee gekommen ist, seine Band nach einer Gattung der Grünalgen zu nennen. Von dieser Spezies sind rund 4000 Arten beschrieben, und genauso beständig, wie Grünalgen Gewässer besiedeln, so konstant tummeln sich Spyro Gyra – so der Band- und Grünalgenname – seit fast 50 Jahren in der Welt des Jazz. Über 10.000 Gigs hat die US-amerikanische Jazz-Fusion-Band in fünf Jahrzehnten auf sechs Kontinenten gespielt, sie wurde mehrfach mit dem Grammy ausgezeichnet und hat mehr als 30 Alben veröffentlicht, etliche Gold- und Platinauszeichungen eingeheimst und über zehn Millionen Tonträger verkauft. Fester Ankerpunkt bei all dem, was Spyro Gyra in ihrer langen Karriere gemacht haben, ist dabei Fusion. Die Musiker um das Gründungsmitglied, den Saxofonisten Jay Beckenstein, kombinieren smoothen Jazz, Rhythm and Blues, Funk, Latin, Pop und Rock und kreieren daraus einen Sound, der vor allem immer eins ist: stilistisch offen und breit gefächert. „Kunst manifestiert sich in einer Vielzahl von Stilrichtungen und Kontexten.
